Mannix Electrical was born in October 1965. The Founder Neville Mannix started his electrical contracting business with his wife Patricia Mannix. Neville saw an opportunity to install cooling into his friends and neighbours homes and by the end of the sixties a thriving evaporative installation business had been established.

During the Seventies the installation of air conditioning overtook the electrical contracting and by the end of the Seventies Neville decided to start trading as Mannix Air.

Neville was pivotal in the introduction of room air conditioners, ducted gas heating, wall splits and ducted reverse cycle air conditioning to the South Australian market. Neville has also been a key person in new technology being developed.

With 5 stores across SA Mannix has always been at the forefront of air conditioning in South Australia.

In 2008 the company decided to further expand the business into the solar energy and home improvement markets and this has continued to grow at a rapid rate.

Over the past 50+ years the Mannix family have been an integral part of the business and have employed hundreds of people both as staff and subcontractors. At present we employ over 80 people plus numerous subcontractors.

Mannix was started as a family owned and operated business and still is to this day. With Neville’s 3 Children Darren, Melissa and Michelle as the directors of the Company there are 3 generations now still running all aspects of the business over South Australia. Mannix has always been a proud Family run South Australian business giving their customers high quality products and services at the most competitive prices.
